Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (Silicon West) hosted an expert talk titled ‘Laplace Transform for Engineering Applications’ on 14 September 2024, as part of the Induction Program for the newly admitted students of the 2024–28 batch. The talk was delivered by Dr. Susanta Kumar Paikray, Professor of Mathematics at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla.
Dr. Paikray explained the fundamental concepts of the Laplace Transform and its critical role in solving engineering problems, particularly in control systems, signal processing, and differential equations. He demonstrated how the mathematical technique bridges theoretical learning and practical applications in various engineering disciplines.
The session provided students with a solid foundation in applied mathematics and encouraged them to approach problem-solving with analytical thinking and clarity.
