Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (Silicon West) organized its 15th Annual Athletic Meet, ATHLON-2025, on 20 December 2025 under the aegis of the Silicon Sports Club. The event aimed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among students.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Mihir Hota, Dean (Academics) & Chief Guest of the event, with the ceremonial lighting of the torch, followed by an impressive march-past by students representing different houses. A wide range of track and field events, including sprints, relay races, jumps, throws, and tug of war, witnessed enthusiastic participation and competitive spirit among the students.
Prizes were awarded to the winners of various events, recognising their dedication and athletic excellence. The meet concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Ashutosh Nayak, Secretary, Sports Club. The successful conduct of the event was supervised by Dr. Biresh Kumar Dakua (Faculty-in-Charge, Sports), Dr. Deepak Kumar Sahu (Faculty Coordinator, Sports), and Mr. Sampada Kumar Pradhan (SPOC, Sports).
