Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (Silicon West)organized its 13th Annual Athletic Meet on 20 February 2024.
The athletic meet is organized every year to promote physical fitness, foster teamwork, and provide a platform for students to showcase their athletic talents.
The chief guest of the event was Dr. Mihir Hota, our Dean Academics. The event began with the march-past done by students of different houses of the institute. After the march-past, various sports events like the 100-meter race, 200-meter race, 400-meter race, 800-meter race, 400-meter relay race, long jump, high jump, shotput throw, and discus throw were held. The students participated enthusiastically and showed remarkable sportsmanship and competitive spirit throughout the event.
After all the sports events were conducted, prizes were distributed among the winners of the different competitions. The event concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Hota.
The event was supervised by Mr. Biresh Kumar Dakua, Faculty-in-Charge, Sports.
