Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur, (Silicon West) organized its annual food fest ‘Zaika-e-Tadka 2024’ on 24 February 2024.
The objective of this event was to give the students a platform to showcase their culinary skills.
The food fest featured delicious food items prepared by sixteen student teams within one hour. The dishes were reviewed by Mrs. Sagarika Pradhan, Head of the Department, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Mr. Nabin Kumar Naik, Head of the Department, Departments of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electronics Engineering.
The winners of the competition were Lopita Sahu, Ankit Roy, and Adyasha Karna for their dishes Mexican tacos, and doughnuts. The first runners-up were Anurag Bhuyan, Naquib Zilani Khan, and Sailesh Mishra for their preparations sehri-kurma, pyaaz pakoda, and masala tea. The second runners-up were Satyabrat Panigrahi, Gourahari Sahoo, and Kalyan Mohapatra for their dishes dum ki chai, chilla, and tandoori paneer tikka.
The students enthusiastically participated in the food fest to make this event successful.
