Silicon West organizes Project Expo 2025

The Codigo Plataforma (Coding Club), the Robotics Club, and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (Silicon West) collaborated with the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) to organize Project Expo 2025 on 14 March 2025.

The event served as a dynamic platform for aspiring innovators to showcase their technical expertise and creativity. The objective of Project Expo 2025 was to foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving among students. By encouraging participants to develop real-world solutions, the event aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. It also provided an opportunity for students to interact with industry experts and academicians, gaining valuable insights into emerging trends in technology and engineering.

Dr. Sidhartha Panda, Professor and Dean, School of Electrical Sciences, Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Invited Member of the Jury. Additionally, Dr. Sanjib Kumar Nayak and Dr. Atul Vikas Lakra, Assistant Professors in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), VSSUT, Burla, attended the event as Guests of Honour and Invited Members of the Jury. Their presence was a source of inspiration and guidance for all participants, adding prestige to the event.

A total of ten finalists presented real-time innovative projects before the esteemed panel. After a rigorous evaluation, Team Silicon with Satya Ranjan Naik, Ashmit Singh, and Sumit Kumar secured the first position. Team Hydra, represented by Sovan Kumar Jena and Abhas Jain received the second prize, and Team WebWeavers with Shubhashree Panda and Pooja Mishra secured the third position.

The event was a resounding success, showcasing the transformative potential of innovation and technology. It not only highlighted the students’ technical acumen but also reinforced the importance of collaborative learning and creative problem-solving in shaping the future.
