A team of talented students from the department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (Silicon West), participated in the final round of Void Hacks 7.0, a reputed national-level hackathon hosted at Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Viswavidyalaya (SVVV), Indore, on 28 and 29 November 2025. The event offered a competitive platform for young innovators to present technology-driven solutions addressing real-world challenges.
The shortlisted team comprised Swagat Kumar Rao, Ashish Kumar Mishra, Bhargodeb Panigrahi, and Pritish Kumar Tripathy, all students of 3rd Semester B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering. The team developed SecureFin, a blockchain-powered personal finance application designed for secure expense tracking, which was selected for the final round.
The selection of their project reflects the students’ strong technical competence, innovative thinking, and collaborative problem-solving skills. This achievement underscores the institute’s focus on experiential learning and its continued encouragement of student participation in national-level technical competitions.
