SiliconTech celebrates India’s 77th Independence Day

SiliconTech celebrated the 77th Independence Day on 15th August 2023 to commemorate India’s freedom struggle and foster a sense of unity and patriotism among the students and faculty members.

The Independence Day celebration began with the hoisting of the national flag by our Principal, Dr. Jaideep Talukdar and the singing of the national anthem by the staff, students and audience gathered to witness the celebration. Dr. Talukdar addressed the gathering by reflecting on the nation’s progress, challenges, and the responsibilities of its citizens in maintaining a just and free society.

Various events were organized in the institute to celebrate our nation’s identity, culture, and achievements and instill a sense of pride among the participants. SiliconTech’s Staff Welfare Committee (SWC) organized a painting and dance competition for staff kids on 12 August 2023. The SWC also organized a walkathon on 15 August 2023, which was inaugurated by Mr. Nitai Gaur Dhall, our Trustee. The participants and volunteers of the walkathon started from Gate 1 of our campus, walked up to the Sikharchandi Temple, and returned to the starting point. The event was coordinated by Mr. Balaram Mohanty, Sports Officer. T-shirts were provided to all seventy participants of the event.

The Independence Day celebrations came to an end with the distribution of prizes and certificates to the winners of the painting and drawing competitions by Dr. Ramaprasad Panda, Dean, Administration & Student Affairs. The winners and participants of the walkathon were also felicitated with prizes and certificates.
