Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar (SiliconTech) has signed a MoU with BALCO (Bharat Aluminium Company Ltd.), Chhattisgarh on 30 July 2022.
The primary objective of this MoU is to leverage the potential of the Institute’s young engineers, research and developmental strength and the academic wisdom, to innovate & solve various industrial bottlenecks collectively with industry experts and technical leaders.
While this initiative shall explore the possibilities of sustainable technological collaboration, students and academia shall also benefit immensely through action learning by undertaking live projects under the guidance and supervision of technical leaders of BALCO and the Senior Professors of Silicon Tech.
A group of eight, 7th semester students selected from the departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) / Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) / Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) have started working on two niche areas identified by BALCO in their plant facility at Chhattisgarh. They will be working for a duration of six months on the identified problem areas in Smelter and Power Plant.
The Industry Interface Cell (II Cell) of SiliconTech is coordinating this program under Practice School.
