SiliconTech’s Zeal club, Green club and Photography club jointly conducted a cleanliness drive in Khandagiri and Udayagiri caves in collaboration with the NGO Bhumi on 5 November 2022.
The objective of the drive was to clean the roads and cave areas of the famous Khandagiri and Udayagiri caves in Bhubaneswar and raise awareness about keeping our environment clean. These ornately carved caves are situated on two adjacent hills called Khandagiri and Udayagiri. They are of historical importance which are listed in the “Must See” Indian heritage list by the Archaeological Survey of India.
A total of 26 students participated in the cleanliness drive. They cleaned the entire area and collected a total of 22 garbage bags which were dropped in the garbage collection truck of BMC (Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation).
There was great appreciation for the efforts of the students who made the drive a success.
