SiliconTech conducts its first International Conference on Circuits, Power, and Intelligent Systems (CCPIS) 2023

Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar (SiliconTech) hosted a three-day International Conference on Circuits, Power, and Intelligent Systems (CCPIS) 2023, in hybrid mode from 1 to 3 September 2023.

This conference aimed to provide a unique forum for the exchange of knowledge and information among researchers, engineers, scientists, industry professionals, and academicians. The objective was to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, practical challenges encountered, and the solutions adopted in the field of circuits, power, and intelligent systems providing a common and unique platform for interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research.

The chief guest of the event was Prof. Banshidhar Majhi, Vice Chancellor, Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla, Odisha.  Dr. Chinmoy Saha, Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Kerala, was the Guest of Honor. They graced the conference with their wisdom and insights further elevating the quality and prestige of CCPIS 2023.

There were six keynote speakers who delivered insightful talks, providing attendees with valuable insights into the latest trends and future directions in line with the six different technical tracks of the conference. The speakers were Dr. Goutam Chattopadhyay, Senior Scientist, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, US, Dr. Ramappa Nagaraja, Managing Director, PRDCPvt. Ltd, Bengaluru, Dr. Bhaskaran Raman, Professor, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Namerita Khanna, Director of RF-CMOS SoC Development at NXP Semiconductors, Dr. Satya Kumar Vankayala, Architect, Samsung R and D Institute, Bangalore, and Dr. Sandeep K. Shukla, Professor, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.

There were 19 session chairs as well who guided and moderated the 19 technical sessions throughout the conference.

CCPIS 2023 consisted of six distinct conference tracks viz., Microelectronic Circuits and Systems Design, Network and Distribution Systems, Multimedia and Signal Processing, Communication Network and IoT, Power, Energy, and Control & Intelligent Systems and Applications. The conference witnessed significant participation, with 132 papers registered for presentation through 19 oral sessions conducted online and offline simultaneously.

It also provided ample networking opportunities, allowing participants to connect with peers, mentors, and potential collaborators, fostering valuable research partnerships. Researchers from both academia and industry presented their work through oral and poster presentations, facilitating knowledge sharing and in-depth discussions.

The IEEE (IEEE Kolkata Section and IEEE Bhubaneswar Section) technically co-sponsored CCPIS 2023. The Conference was a great success, with 152 accepted papers, an acceptance rate of 45.37%, and 132 registered papers, and a conversion rate of more than 85%.  It highlighted the continued growth and commitment of the researchers in line with current industry standards.
