SiliconTech establishes the JBS Haldane Centre for Molecular Medicine

SiliconTech in collaboration with inDNA Life Sciences established the JBS Haldane Centre for Molecular Medicine (HCM) on 1 January 2024 on its premises.

The Centre for Molecular Medicine is named after J.B.S. Haldane, an iconic British geneticist, biometrician, and physiologist, who opened new paths of research in population genetics and evolution.

The HCM was inaugurated by Dr. Madhabananda Kar, Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Darbhanga. India.

The HCM at SiliconTech will train Life sciences graduate students in the field of Molecular Medicine. It will provide the students with the necessary skill set to become equipped and competent in the core areas of molecular and genetic aspects of Life Sciences.

The department also aims to provide knowledge on core aspects of biochemical genetics, microbial genetics, epigenetics, molecular oncology, genetic counselling, molecular immunology, infection biology, bio-computing, advanced bioinformatics, tissue engineering, and stem cell biology.
