SiliconTech inducts the 2022 Admission Batch (5th B.Tech. batch under autonomy)

SiliconTech conducted an orientation-cum-induction program for the 5th B.Tech. batch (2022 – 2026) under autonomy from 8 – 16 November 2022. The objective of this program was to make the students familiar with the institute and to orient them into cultivating the right attitude towards their chosen career while inculcating a strong value system.

Our Principal Dr. Jaideep Talukdar addressed the students and their parents virtually in the orientation program. Dr. Ramaprasad Panda, Dean, Administration & Student Affairs, Dr. Debabarata Kar, Dean, Academics and Dr. Chittaranjan Behera, Faculty-in-Charge, ERP addressed the students and informed them about the important details in their respective fields. Our Director, Dr. Saroj Kanta Misra along with our Deans, then conducted an interactive session to address the queries of students and parents.

The different departments welcomed the new students on 12 November. The students were given detailed presentations about the various clubs, activities and facilities of SiliconTech in the three-day induction program Guest lectures on various topics were also conducted. Mr. Abhijit Sen, CEO, Syllogistek addressed the students on building one’s career, Sister Savitha from Prajapita Brahma Kumaris delivered a talk on maintaining work life balance, Prof. Bharat Dash from Sri Sri University gave a talk on ‘Success and Ethics,’ Dr. Birendranath Banerjee, MD, InDNA Life Sciences discussed about the new age life of 21st century, Mr. Rashmin Pulekar, Dr. Tapas Ranjan Sarangi and Dr. Ruchi Dahiya from the Art of Living spoke on the topic ‘Accelerating Excellence’, and Prof. Kalpana Sahoo from XIM University delivered a talk on gender sensitivity. Also, few alumni of the institute including Dr. Manas Kumar Jena, Assistant Professor, IIT Palakkad, Ms. Maitry Mahapatra, Senior Consultant (Cyber Security), Larsen & Toubro’s Infotech, Mr. Shreechandan Mallick, Assistant Technology Manager, Lloyds Banking Group, UK and Mr. Pritam Das, State Head, Orient Electric Limited interacted with the students in the hybrid mode and answered their queries related to the institute.

This program was conducted in line with the AICTE guidelines. All the students actively participated in the program.
