The YfS (Youth for Sustainability) Silicon Chapter collaborated with Silicon Music Club and Theatre Club to organize an awareness program on ‘Plastic Free Campus’ on 28 January 2023.
The objective of this program was to make our campus a ‘Plastic Free Campus’ by sensitizing Siliconites to avoid using plastic by making them aware about the hazardous effects of using plastic.
The program began with two inspiring speeches delivered on the theme by our Director, Dr. Saroj Kanta Misra and Dr. Ramaprasad Panda, Professor, Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Our students raised various slogans on the topic to create awareness for making the campus plastic free. The members of the Theatre Club and YfS chapter jointly presented a drama which was appreciated by the audience. Also, the students of Music Club performed a thematic dance on this occasion.
More than fifty students attended the program and pledged to work towards making the campus plastic free.
