The Google Developer Student Club (GDSC) collaborated with the Silicon Wing of Technical and Coding Hub (SWITCH) Club to organize the ‘Developers’ Summit 2023’ on 16 December 2023. The theme for this year’s summit was ‘Innovation Unleashed’.
The objective of the event was to provide participants with the latest updates, problem-solving strategies, and networking opportunities related to Google technologies.
The event comprised of various technical sessions on the theme ‘Innovation Unleashed’. The first session was conducted by Mr. Nitish Kumar on ‘Application Development Essentials’. He discussed the intricacies of application development and emphasized the importance of strategic learning. He also discussed about choosing the right platform, mastering essential tools like Git and GitHub, and fostering soft skills.
The second session on ‘Cloud, Containerization, and Docker’ was conducted by Mr. Sovit Acharya. He focused on the value of containerization in cloud technologies and enlightened the audience with some insights into Docker architecture and the transformative role of Kubernetes in deploying services.
Mr. Susant Rout conducted the last session on ‘Journey of Innovation in Programming Education’. He shared the evolution of programming education and discussed C Programming’s enduring importance and its role in building strong foundations.
The SWITCH club also organized a coding competition in the name of ‘Coding Event Extravaganza’ which had three rounds. The event consisted of a pen-and-paper round, an online coding on HackerRank, and a final round for the top forty-nine performers. The top 49 students showcased exceptional problem-solving skills and coding proficiency.
The GDSC Developers’ Summit 2023 celebrated the current technology and laid a foundation for future developments. The collaboration between GDSC and SWITCH Club symbolizes a commitment to nurturing talent and fostering innovation in the coding community.
