Silicon Green Club (SGC) in association with the Institution’s Innovation Cell (IIC) organized ‘Eco-Olympiad 2023’, an environment-based quiz to celebrate World Environment Day on 5 June 2023.
The quiz was themed on ‘Solutions to Plastic Pollution’. This year’s campaign theme for World Environment Day is #BeatPlasticPollution. The objective behind choosing this theme is to create awareness about the hazardous effects of plastic pollution and encourage people to avoid the use of plastic.
A total of 40 students from SiliconTech participated in Eco-Olympiad 2023. Gulnaz Ahmad (CSE, 2026) emerged as the winner of this competition. Aditya Raghubanshi Jena (CEN, 2026) became the runner-up.
All the participants gained insights into various environmental concerns and pledged to contribute to a healthy and plastic-free surrounding.
