SiliconTech organized the 15th Annual Athletic Meet on 6 January 2024 at the SunDeck, the sports complex of the institute.
The athletic meet is organized every year to promote physical fitness, foster teamwork, and provide a platform for students to showcase their athletic talents.
The 15th Annual Athletic Meet was inaugurated by Dr. Saroj Kanta Misra, our Director. Dr. Ramaprasad Panda, Dean, Administration & Student Affairs delivered the welcome address and extended his best wishes to the participants. The oath-taking ceremony was then led by Mr. Debasis Das, the Sports Secretary. The oath-taking ceremony in sports holds great significance as it symbolizes the values, principles, and spirit of fair play that are integral to the essence of sportsmanship.
All the track and field events were smoothly conducted under the supervision of Mr. Gyana Ranjan Biswal, Faculty Coordinator of the Sports Club and Mr. Balram Mohanty, the Sports Officer. Three external judges meticulously evaluated the performances of the participants to select the winners. After all the events were conducted, the winners were awarded prizes, and all the participants were encouraged for their active participation. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Debasis Das.
A total of 140 students participated in the sports meet to make the event a resounding success.
