SiliconTech organizes ‘Sabda-Tattva 2.0’, the Annual Literary Fest

The Meta Academic Cell at SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, organized ‘Sabda-Tattva 2.0’, the annual literary fest from 20-22 March 2025.

The objective of the event was to celebrate the power of words and foster creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression. By offering a range of diverse competitions, the event aimed to encourage students to showcase their talents, develop new skills, and engage in thought-provoking discussions, ultimately nurturing both their intellectual and creative potential.

The event featured four competitions, viz., Poetic Arena, Parachute Drop, Leadership Challenge, and Write-a-Tale, each designed to challenge participants in unique ways. In Poetic Arena, participants showcased their poetic prowess by composing original poems in English, Odia, or Hindi, followed by reciting them before an audience. Parachute Drop tested participants’ persuasive communication and quick thinking, as they argued for why their assigned iconic personality deserved the last parachute in a high-pressure scenario. The Leadership Challenge consisted of a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview to evaluate participants’ leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. In Write-a-Tale, participants demonstrated their storytelling abilities by crafting a story based on three given prompts within a 90-minute timeframe. This event encouraged creative writing and adherence to guidelines, emphasizing narrative construction.

A total of two hundred students from various institutes across the state took part in the event. Each competition in ‘Sabda-Tattva 2.0’ was carefully designed to inspire participants while offering them a platform to hone crucial skills such as communication, leadership, and creative expression. The event not only captivated the participants but also left a lasting impact, underscoring Silicon’s unwavering commitment to nurturing both intellectual and creative talents.
