SiliconTech’s Sports Club organized various intra-college sports events in SunDeck, its newly renovated sports complex, from 21 April – 12 May 2023.
The objective of conducting these events was to instill a spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork among the students as well as maintain a balance between the rigorous academic curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
The Sports Club organized ‘Chakravyuh’, a cricket tournament from 21 April – 2 May 2023. A total of 6 teams comprising of 80 students participated in the tournament. Team ‘Priyanshu Rising Stars’ emerged as the winner.
Following this, a basketball tournament titled ‘BRAWL ‘n’ BUCKET’ was organized from 6 – 10 May 2023. A total of 8 teams participated in this event. Team ‘Layup Legends’ became the winner.
Furthermore, the Sports Club also organized a basketball tournament titled ‘FUTSAL FINESSE’ from 9 – 12 May 2023. A total of 8 teams comprising of 64 students participated in this event. Team ‘LOS BLANCOS’ was the winner.
It is noteworthy to mention that SiliconTech inaugurated its newly renovated sports complex on 23 April 2023. The new sports complex has all modern amenities including a synthetic-coated running track which holds up against high moisture conditions and reduces the risk of injury.
