SiliconTech students participated in a plantation drive organized by the Government of Odisha on 17 September 2023. The objective of this drive was to restore the forest cover in the Sikharchandi hills and promote environmental sustainability.
During the plantation drive, students actively participated by planting trees, shrubs, and other greenery in designated areas. They also assisted in watering the planted saplings. Additionally, they raised awareness to promote environmental consciousness within their communities.
A total of 170 students from SiliconTech participated in the drive. Mr. Nitai Gaur Dhall, our Trustee, Mr. Chandrajit Swain, our Administrative Officer, Mr. Subrat Kumar Sahoo, Faculty Coordinator, Silicon Green Club, and Mr. Rabinarayan Mohanty, Faculty Coordinator, NSS (National Service Scheme) also participated in this drive.
All the participants received certificates from the Government of Odisha for their active participation in the plantation drive.
