SiliconTech students won several prizes in different competitions at Start Up Mela 2023 organized by Start Up Odisha on 15 and 16 January 2023.
Start Up Mela was organized to showcase the prowess of start-up ecosystem of the State and orient the youth toward start-ups, innovation and entrepreneurship. The two-day event hosted interactive activities for students’ engagement which helped them to understand the start-up ecosystem better.
Rohit Kumar (CSE, 2025) and Ankit Kumar (CST, 2025) won the third prize in the Start-Up quiz competition. Shekhar Kumar (CST, 2025) won the quiz competition that was conducted for the audience. Biswajit Panda and Shubham Mohanty both from the CEN 2025 batch won the first prize in Group Discussion. The third prize in Group Discussion was won by Girish Bhardwaj and Ankit Kumar, both from the CST 2025 batch.
The two-day event was held at O-Hub, the start-up incubation centre at Bhubaneswar. Shri Pratap Deb, Industries, MSME & Energy Minister and Shri Omkar Rai, Executive Chairman, Start Up Odisha had joined the event to motivate the youth and inspire them to take up entrepreneurship as a career.
