SiliconTech sports team participated in Orion 2023, the annual inter-college fest organized by Sri Sri University, Cuttack from 23 – 28 January 2023.
The Orion fest is recognized as one of the top ten youth festivals in Odisha. Various sports teams from different colleges participate in this sports fest every year.
Our students performed par excellence to win several prizes in different events. The SiliconTech Football team comprising of Sumit Vasant Patil (CSE, 2023), Syed Abu Hurera (EEE, 2023), Binayak Ghosal (EEE, 2023), Swosti Swaroop Nayak (CSE, 2023), Prince Pritam (EEE, 2023), Afaque Wasif (CST, 2024), Victor Vikrant Lakra (CSE, 2024), Navesh Khatoi (CSE, 2024), Sourav Kanungo (CST, 2025) and Ritik Mohan Samal (ECE, 2026) won the Champions’ Trophy.
The SiliconTech Basketball team with Sumit Vasant Patil (CSE, 2023), Parth Sarathi Panda (EIE, 2023), Ashish Tripathy (CSE, 2023), Prittam Kumar Singh (ECE, 2025), Abhijeet Dwibedi (CST, 2024), Debasish Das (CSE, 2024), Biswanath Mahapatra (CSE, 2024), Sahil Murmu (CSE, 2024), Hritik Rohit (CSE, 2025), Bibhuti Bhusan Swain (CSE, 2025), Himanshu Patra (ECE, 2025) and Jyotiraditya Bhoi (EIE, 2025) won the Runners-up prize.
Our student Swarnali Roy (ECE, 2026) emerged as the champion in Badminton Singles (Women) and Ayush Sarangi (EEE, 2024) became the runner-up in Badminton Singles (Men). Our team comprising Pratyush Prakash Singh (CSE, 2026), Tushar Kanta Padhiary (CSE, 2026), Syed Abu Hurera (EEE, 2023) and Abhishek Nanda (EEE, 2023) won the Gold medal in 4 x 100 m relay race (Men). Furthermore, Pratyush Prakash Singh (CSE, 2026) won the Silver medal in 100 m race (Men).
