The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, organized an expert talk on entrepreneurship titled ‘From Idea to Impact’ on 24 September 2025.
The talk was delivered by Mr. Ankur B. Patel, the Co-founder of Let’s driEV. The primary objective of the session was to provide students with the opportunity to learn directly from a successful entrepreneur about the challenges and rewards of starting a business. Through Mr. Patel’s journey, the IIC aimed to inspire students to turn their innovative ideas into impactful ventures. The session sought to equip students with practical knowledge on key aspects of entrepreneurship, such as funding, product development, and scaling, while also encouraging them to develop a mindset focused on problem-solving and perseverance.
Mr. Patel shared his experiences of founding Let’s driEV, an electric vehicle startup, and discussed the hurdles he faced in building the company from the ground up. His talk covered various aspects of entrepreneurship, including market research, securing investment, team-building, and navigating industry challenges. He emphasized the importance of staying adaptable and resilient, especially when faced with setbacks, offering students valuable lessons that extended beyond theory into practical, real-world application.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A segment, where students asked insightful questions about startup culture and entrepreneurship. Samikshya Samadarshini, the event coordinator, delivered a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of Mr. Patel, the faculty members, and the students.
A total of 120 students attended the session to gain real-world insights into the startup ecosystem and explore entrepreneurship as a potential career path. The session motivated students to think creatively and approach their entrepreneurial endeavors with confidence and determination.
