SiliconTech’s Institution Innovation Council (IIC) organizes a Mentor- Mentee Training Program under the aegis of MoE, Govt. of India

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) at SiliconTech organized an exposure cum training program, supported by MoE, Govt. of India, for 5 mentee institutions on 19 & 20 April 2022.

SiliconTech is the only institute from Odisha who has been selected as a mentor institution by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), Government of India under the Mentor–Mentee Program 2021 – 2022, to act as a mentor to the IIC institutions those are need of guidance and support.

The objective of this program was to improve the performance of mentee institutions in fields of entrepreneurship and start-up.  The program comprised of training sessions on IPR (Intellectual Property Rights), Entrepreneurial Motivation and Incubation Management. The keynote speakers were Mr. C.R. Patnaik, former Regional Coordinator, EDII (Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India), Dr. S. Badhei, evangelist, Startup Odisha and Dr. T. Pawan Kumar, Sr. Scientist, IMMT, Bhubaneswar. Mr. Pattnaik motivated the gathering with his talk on entrepreneurship, Dr. Badhei gave a presentation on Incubation Management and Dr. Kumar discussed about IPR in his presentation.

The institutes which participated as mentees in the training program were Bengal Institute of Technology, West Bengal; Royal Global University, Assam; Model Mahila College, Jharkhand; Gandhi Institute for Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar and Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Institute of Information Technology & Management Science (DAMITS), Rourkela.

All the participants were accommodated in our institute guesthouse for smooth and effective organization of the program. They also visited our incubation units and other facility centres.
