SiliconTech’s IQAC organizes an FDP on National Education Policy 2020

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at SiliconTech organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 on 5 September 2022. The objective of this FDP was to make the faculty members aware of the various provisions available under NEP 2020, which is the blueprint to improve the quality of education and make India a global superpower in knowledge.

The FDP was conducted by Prof. Ranjan Kumar Bal, Professor Emeritus, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Deemed to be University and Former Chairman, P.G. Council, Utkal University. Prof. Bal’s presentation was on ‘Strategy for Holistic Education’. He introduced the participants to the basics of NEP 2020 and its proposed mission and vision. He explained the various provisions available under this policy and how an institute and its faculty members could benefit from them.

He focused on how to develop learning and skill-based curriculum for holistic education and give more momentum to interdisciplinary research and increase the domain of skill and outreach-based knowledge.Prof. Bal also enlightened on the changes that will come once the NEP 2020 gets implemented and what the institutes need to do to adopt to new policies and regulations.

The FDP was attended by more than 70 participants. It was an informative program reflecting on the significant policies that are the need of this hour.
