Sonam Acharya from the B.Tech. ECE batch of 2023 was crowned the first Runner-up in Odisha Queen 2022, a state level beauty pageant held at Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) on 8 February 2023.
Odisha Queen, one of the most famous beauty pageants of the state provides a platform to the young women to showcase their skills in public speaking, dancing, singing, ramp walking and acting. Odisha Queen 2022 was organized by Evos in association with RR Events and Cine Production.
The chief guest of the event was Manushi Chillar, Miss World 2017. Actress and model Archita Sahu was the brand ambassador of the event. Ollywood superstars Sabyasachi Mishra, Debashish Patra, Sivani Sangita, Bhoomika Dash, Jeena Samal and Saswat Joshi were other eminent guests of the event.
Sonam was crowned the first Runner-up in the event. She also won the subtitle of Miss Photogenic in the event.
