Staff Welfare Committee organizes the Annual Staff Award Function 2024

The Staff Welfare Committee of Silicon University organized the Annual Staff Award Function on 10 February 2024 to honour the employees for their outstanding accomplishments and acknowledge their contributions.

The award function began with the celebrations of the University status conferred to Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar by the Government of Odisha. The important faces of Silicon University were then introduced to the audience. Mr. Joe Madiath, the Chairperson, Mr. Sanjeev Nayak, the Vice-Chairperson, Dr. Jaideep Talukdar, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra, the Registrar, Dr. Debabrata Kar, Dean (Instruction), Dr. Ramaprasad Panda, Dean (Student Affairs), Dr. Manoranjan Behera, Dean (Research), Dr. Prayag Prasad Mishra, Controller of Examinations and Dr. Amar Kumar Behera, Finance Officer, will lead the University in their respective positions.

Employees who have dedicated 10, 15, or 20 years of invaluable service to Silicon were honoured with the prestigious long service award. Eight employees received the long service award in recognition of their two decades of unwavering commitment to Silicon. Twenty eight individuals received the award for their remarkable 15 years of continuous service, and thirteen employees were awarded for a decade of invaluable contributions to Silicon. Furthermore, five faculty members were felicitated for completing their Ph.D. in academic session 2023-24.

The Staff Welfare Committee presented a video to reminisce about all the activities that were conducted in the session 2023-24. Thereafter, prizes were distributed to the winners of staff indoor games, Silicon Premier League, and Silicon Champion League. Our faculty and staff members came together for various cultural performances. The children of our staff members captivated the audience with a diverse array of performances that encompassed singing, dancing, and instrumental brilliance. Anshika Das, Ayantika Swain, Komal Krishna, Nandini Biswapriya, Omm Jyoti Bardhan, Pracheeta Jena, Pratiksya Priyanka Mohanty, Shreyashree Mangaraj, Sai Sarthak Mishra, and Utpal Panda emerged as shining stars in the kids’ category. They were awarded prizes for their extraordinary talents.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Biswajit Baral, Associate Professor, Electronics Engineering.
