SWITCH Club organizes an expert talk session ‘Strike the Placements with Striver’

The Silicon Wing of Technical Coding Hub (SWITCH) Club, under the patronage of the Student Innovation & Promotion Cell (SIPC), organized an expert talk session ‘Strike the Placements with Striver’ on 8 June 2022.

The objective of the session was to motivate the students and provide them the required guidance to prepare for placements in product-based companies. The session was conducted by Mr. Raj Vikramaditya, popularly known as Striver. Mr. Raj is currently working as a Software Engineer with tech giant Google. He operates two YouTube channels, viz. Striver (76.5K subscribers) and TakeUForward (197K subscribers) where he provides extensive content on competitive coding and problem solving for placements. Prior to his current job, he has worked with other elite companies like Media.net and Amazon and was amongst the top instructors in the online learning platforms, Unacademy and GeeksforGeeks.

Striver began the session by sharing his placement experiences and went on to discuss the hiring processes and preparation strategies for the FAANG companies (Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Google).

The session was co-ordinated by Dr. Soumya Priyadarsini Panda, Faculty Co-ordinator, SWITCH Club. More than 350 Siliconites attended the session with enthusiasm.
