The Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Institution’s Innovation Council organize a Business Plan Pitching Competition

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell) and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, organized a Business Plan Pitching Competition on 30 April 2025 for the 6th Semester B.Tech. students.

The primary objective of the competition was to encourage entrepreneurial thinking and equip students with practical skills to develop viable business plans.

A total of thirteen teams comprising of sixty-five students participated in the event to present their innovative business ideas before a panel of industry experts. Each team showcased their business model canvas, value proposition canvas, and revenue model as part of their presentations. The jury, including Mr. Deepak Chaudhury from Success Leaf and Mr. Chittaranjan Pattanaik, former Coordinator at Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), provided valuable feedback and constructive suggestions to help students improve and refine their business plans before launching them in the market. Their guidance aimed to strengthen the feasibility and impact of the proposed ventures.

The competition was coordinated by Dr. Mahendra Prasad Agasty, President of the IIC. This initiative offered budding entrepreneurs an excellent platform to develop their ideas, gain real-world insights, and foster innovation.
