SiliconTech’s YfS (Youth for Sustainability) Silicon Chapter collaborated with Silicon Green Club to organize the event titled “Uncover Your Thoughts”, at the campus on 14 May 2022
The purpose of this event was to increase the awareness of students about various environmental issues and educate them on sustainable development.
Mr. Punyasloka Panda, the National Co-ordinator of YfS India, graced the event to motivate the students to adopt sustainable development strategies. He also discussed about upcoming projects of YfS India where sustainable products will be manufactured which will not only provide work opportunity to the poor but also contribute towards the sustainable goals.
Various competitions like ‘Speech’, ‘Poetry’ and ‘Best out of Waste’ were organized to encourage student participation and also give them an opportunity to showcase their creativity. Dr. Suvashree Suvadarshinee and Mr. Aruni Nayak from the department of Basic Sciences and Humanities (BSH) Department served as the jury members for the various competitions. The winners of all the events were awarded cash prize and certificates.
A large number of students enthusiastically participated for the cause of environment and pledged to protect Mother Nature.
