Silicon continues to achieve excellent placement results despite the market slowdown. This year, 34 new companies recruited from the University. A majority of our final-year students have also done their internship under our Practice School (PS) program for one semester with monthly stipends varying in the range of INR 8K to 110K. Apart from regular on-campus placements, students also choose other career paths such as higher studies, research fellowship, and entrepreneurship.

Placements at Silicon’s youngest campus, Silicon West in Sambalpur, showed promising results. More than 70 companies made job offers placing 88% of the graduating batch. Students received an average compensation package of ₹4.83 LPA. Reputed companies in product development, IT services, startups, and organizations in manufacturing, production, and construction recruit Silicon West graduates. Accenture, Asiczen Technologies, Capgemini, Cozentus, Hexaware, IBM, Infosys, Jindal Group, L&T, Prodapt, SAP Labs, SynergyLabs, Tata Power and TCS are some notable recruiters from the past years.
Silicon’s Industry Interface Cell invites prospective companies for recruitment two months ahead of the placement season. Interested companies give the eligibility criteria for students to participate. The final recruitment season starts from August of every year and lasts upto the end of the final semester.
