Silicon West established the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) in 2009. It aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge and skills in the applications of electronics and communication engineering.
It acquaints students with modern design tools to solve real-time problems in electronics and communication engineering. It works to develop the employability skills of the students as well as impart research skills.
Students gain fundamental knowledge and skills in the domain through learning about electronic circuits, analog and digital communication, information theory, microprocessors and microcontrollers, VLSI & Embedded Systems, antenna and microwave engineering, mobile communication, soft-computing, signal and image processing, microelectronics, and semiconductor devices, etc.

The Department offers one undergraduate program.
All our faculty members have advanced degrees in Electronics and Communication Engineering. They are prolific researchers committed to advancing research and development in the field of electronics and communication engineering.
VIEW THE ECE FACULTYSilicon West has designed the teaching, learning, and evaluation processes to bring out the best in each student. Developed and executed by experienced academic professionals, they identify and nurture the unique strength of the students while supporting them to build new capabilities. The teaching-learning processes are student-centric and enriched with ICT-based methodologies. Beyond learning theory, students also learn by doing internships and through practice-based lessons.
Research at the Dept. of ECE is broadly focused on microstrip antenna, image processing, VLSI, microprocessor and microcontroller.
