The B.Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering program aims to build student capabilities in the design, development, and applications of electronics and communications engineering. Students develop a comprehensive understanding of modern electronics circuits and systems, the current trends, and the future of electronics and communication engineering.
Students learn both fundamental and advanced courses. The core courses in the program are analog and digital electronics, analog and digital communication, VLSI design, and microprocessor and microcontroller.
The program offers several interdisciplinary subjects such as data structure, C, C++, artificial intelligence, and machine learning specifically focused on recent industry demands.
Project-based learning about sensors, PIC Microcontroller, RF and RFID, Bluetooth and Zigbee, 8051 Microcontroller, and Wireless Communication build their expertise in the field.
After stepping into the corporate world, I realized why Silicon has its tagline "...beyond teaching". To me, the four years of engineering at Silicon West were not only about classroom learning but also a journey of becoming a professionally well-groomed engineer. While at college, I got a lot of opportunities to participate in various extracurricular activities, webinars, placement talks, and many more. All these enhanced different skills, from communication to leadership skills, that made me industry-ready. From vibrant classrooms to corporate offices, it was an amazing journey of laying the foundation of my career. Silicon West took care of it well. Thanks to all my faculty, friends, and others for being part of my fascinating journey.

Graduates of the B.Tech. ECE program develop specific capabilities in digital signal processing, VLSI design, radio, radar, and microwave electronics. Opportunities abound for them in a variety of fields in the electronics and communication industry and allied organizations. Many students are with IT companies, and few have pursued entrepreneurship.
