Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (Silicon West) organized a plantation drive on 12 August 2023 to foster environmental consciousness and sustainability among its students and faculty members.
The plantation drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students who were eager to make a positive impact on the environment. A total of forty students from the 2026 graduating batch came together to plant 200 saplings of diverse varieties on both sides of the road that connects the institute to the state highway. The students were accompanied by the faculty members and staff of our institute.
The drive was coordinated by Dr. Deepak Sahu, Assistant Professor, Basic Sciences and Humanities, Mr. Nabin Kumar Naik, Assistant Professor, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mr. Ajay Sethi, Technical Assistant, Basic Sciences and Humanities.
