Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (Silicon West) organized an insightful awareness session on 2 September 2024, focusing on the importance of digital skilling. The session was addressed by Mr. Harsh Arya, Managing Director of Unitech Group of Companies, and was attended by students eager to enhance their understanding of evolving industry demands.
The primary objective of the event was to encourage students to recognize the critical need for continuously upgrading their skill sets in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing world. Mr. Arya emphasized that staying relevant and competitive in the job market requires a commitment to lifelong learning and adaptability.
During his address, Mr. Arya highlighted the DigitAll Platform under the Skill Odisha Project, a significant initiative by the Government of Odisha in collaboration with Coursera. This platform provides access to over 6,000 courses free of charge, empowering students with the tools to pursue diverse learning paths and acquire globally relevant skills.
As an institution affiliated with the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha, students of Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur, are eligible to register for these Coursera courses. This opportunity allows them to complement their academic curriculum with additional certifications, thereby enriching their overall learning experience.
