The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Silicon West organized a two-day workshop on ‘Advancements in Machine Learning’ on 7 & 8 March 2020.
Dr. Sanjay Kumar Panda, Assistant Professor of CSE, NIT Warangal, and Dr. Siddharth Panda, Professor of CSE, VSSUT, Burla, took the workshop. They spoke about the current developments in the AI-ML industry and how it’s reshaping our day-to-day work. The field of Machine learning is experiencing exponential growth, especially in the subject of computer vision.
The fields of computer vision and Natural Language Processing (NLP) are making breakthroughs that no one had predicted earlier. The hands-on session introduced the participants to Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Gradient Descent Method, Clustering, and applications related to Forecasting, etc.
Overall, the participants learned about the future of machine learning and the latest machine learning trends.
