Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Silicon Institute of Technology established the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) at SiliconTech in 2000. The Department aims to produce qualified engineers who can tackle problems of varying complexity, adapt to changes in the electrical sciences field, and apply protocols based on standard guidelines.

Students gain skills in core subjects such as electrical machines, power electronics, electrical power transmission and distribution, power systems analysis, etc. Apart from these, there are many professional and open elective subjects to choose from, such as energy technology, mathematics, management, electronic design, computer programming, biomedical instrumentation, etc.

The Department of EEE is NBA accredited and approved by AICTE.

To be a premier and value-based department committed to develop technically and ethically competent electrical & electronics professionals to meet the challenges of the emerging trends in the technical world.

1. Establish a learning environment with academic discipline to impart complex engineering knowledge in electrical technologies for sustained and successful professional career that will contribute to the nation building. (Knowledge and Continuing education)

2. Provide a framework for collaborative and multidisciplinary activities to promote creativeness, innovativeness and out-of-box thinking among students relating to advanced electrical technologies, improving research ability to maintain technical Proficiency in the electrical domain. (Innovations and Research)

3. To inculcate professional ethics and human values and take the mantle of responsibilities in the power engineering field by promoting group activities addressing societal needs. (Ethics and Leadership)

EEE Faculty

All our faculty members have advanced degrees in electrical engineering and are prolific researchers. Forty percent of the faculty members have a Ph.D. with their research published in Scopus indexed journals.

Teaching & Learning

SiliconTech ensures personalized instruction and individual attention to all students. Beyond classroom teaching, faculty members undertake consultancy projects which provide students with opportunities to learn through real-world industry and research work. Seminars, symposiums, and conferences organized throughout the year connect students to experts from outside the institute, introduce them to new developments in the field of electrical engineering and help them build networks.
