SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, is a favored destination for recruitment for many national and global technology firms, startups, and organizations in financial services, e-commerce, healthcare, and applied research. It has an outstanding placement record among engineering institutes in Odisha.

More than 72% of the students get placed every year. In the current year, over 31% of the placed students have got offers with differential salary packages of ₹5 LPA and above, with the highest salary package of ₹30.3 LPA from Amazon in 2025.

A total of 263 students got the opportunity for internship with a monthly stipend ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹1,10,000.  More than 90% of the interns have got pre placement offers after successful completion of internship in their final semester.

Three-year Snapshot

Silicon continues to achieve excellent placement results despite the market slowdown. This year, 34 new companies recruited from the University. A majority of our final-year students have also done their internship under our Practice School (PS) program for one semester with monthly stipends varying in the range of INR 8K to 110K. Apart from regular on-campus placements, students also choose other career paths such as higher studies, research fellowship, and entrepreneurship.

Silicon’s Industry Interface Cell invites prospective companies for recruitment two months ahead of the placement season. Interested companies give the eligibility criteria for students to participate. The final recruitment season starts from August of every year and lasts upto the end of the final semester.
