Department of Computer Science & Engineering

SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, established the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in 2001 to lead computing education, research, and innovation. The academic programs and research by faculty and students advance computing for the public good and broaden societal impact.

Specific courses provide fundamental knowledge and skills in core aspects of computing like programming, data structure, operating system, algorithms, computer networks, databases. Students also gain proficiency in interdisciplinary subfields of computing like machine learning, data mining, and data science.

Mission

1. To impart fundamental engineering knowledge and to equip students with a broad set of skills, and an inquisitive attitude to evolve them into leaders of tomorrow for diverse successful professional careers (Knowledge, Skill and Continuing Education)

2. To develop linkages with leading R&D organizations and educational institutions in India and abroad for excellence in teaching, research and consultancy practices (Research)
